A big three way trade to blow things up and open the door for Wander Franco. Braves and Rangers both upgrade at SS while Rays get MLB pitching and AAA prospects. Inciarte’s 1+ years of contract is swapped for Odor’s 2+ years of contract. Odor can actually plug in at 3B immediately for the Braves, until newly acquired Josh Jung is ready. Payroll Changes in 2021 assuming any contract with a buyout is exercised to apply to the last year: Braves are $4 Million lower, Rays are $4 Million Higher, Rangers approximately the same. Payroll Changes in 2022 assuming any contract with a buyout is exercised to apply to the last year: Braves are $8 Million higher, Rays are $3 Million Higher, Rangers are $11 million lower. Braves acquire 2 starters and 3 prospects in exchange for 3 starters, 2 prospects and Inciarte. Rays acquire 1 starter 1 bullpen arm, and 3 prospects in exchange for 1 starter and 1 prospect. Rangers acquire 2 starters 1 prospect and Inciarte in exchange for 2 starters and three prospects.

I dont think Adames is better than Swanson, otherwise looks good.

Adames is definitely better than Swanson.

This trade doesn't work for the Rays. It has the Rays giving up the most valuable player in Adames and not getting a potential difference maker back in return. Worse, the Rays are giving up a top pitching prospect and getting someone back who probably slots in the 5-10 spot among top Rays pitching prospects (and closer to 10 than 5). Contreras would be nice, but Langeliers would be far better. Leclerc and Wright would be nice additions to the Pen, but the Rays already have a top 5 Pen and a ton of depth, making their additions of little value to the Rays. Rays easily say no to this trade. The only way the Rays would trade Adames and/or McClanny to the Braves for prospects is if Waters, Pache or Langeliers are part of the trade. You can't expect the Rays to give up quality for quantity when they already have the #1 Farm and a team coming off a WS.

Can't see the Rangers wanting to trade top prospects for major leaguers since they are part-way through blowing it all up. There's certainly no way the Rangers would do this trade. Frankly, I don't really see the logic of this trade for the Braves either. They improve at SS and add a couple nice prospects, but the Braves are trying to win in 21, so trading Wright and Riley seems counterproductive to that goal. I don't follow the Braves that closely, but I thought Wright was the odds on favorite for the 5th spot in the rotation. Even if he misses out on the rotation, he would still be needed for the Pen, which looks like the weak spot of the team. Swapping Riley for Odor seems even more head scratching, unless there is someone else to play 3B? Even then, I would think the Braves would prefer Inciarte as the 4th outfielder than Odor as the utility infielder. Again, I don't follow the Braves that closely, but I don't get the logic of this trade for them.
