This trade broke your model John haha. Incredibly underwhelming return for the Pirates, unless they have valuations on some of the guys much higher than you guys do (only possible explanation). Which to be fair, might be possible if they really liked what they saw in the alternate training site.
I know. I'm checking with my team sources to see if maybe Head was due to be upgraded (most likely that's the case, as we often find out after the fact that a prospect is a 50 instead of a 40+ or so). That would bridge the gap significantly.
I agree. This is a terrible return for the Pirates' best trade chip. Even if you squint and project the highest-possible outcome for the prospects they received, it's still underwhelming.
At this point I just assume AJ Preller could talk GMs into trading their everlasting soul for a sandwich.
