With the news that the Yankees are considering trading Gary Sanchez, I made this a trade about swapping bounceback candidates. For the Yankees, they get an underrated pitcher (who dealt with injury struggles in 2020) in Jon Gray to help with the rotation. They also get Grant Lavigne, a top 10 first base prospect, which helps a need for corner infield bats in the Yankees system. For the Rockies, they look to finally get some worthwhile production at catcher with Gary Sanchez, and essentially replace Jon Gray with Jonathan Loaisiga. Josh Breaux is also added to balance out the trade a little bit, getting the Rockies another catcher in their top 30. If the Yankees want an MLB catcher back to replace Sanchez right away, either Tony Wolters or Elias Diaz is fine. Whatever works better with what the Yankees wanna do with that position going forward.
