1This one right here is pretty much cut and dry. The Dodgers have a surplus of C's, where Ruiz is blocked by Barnes & Smith, and they need another weapon in the pen with Treinen entering FA. The Mets have themselves a late inning guy in Diaz, whose under control under 2023 and looked great outside of the closer's role. In non-save situations last season, Diaz had a 1.20 ERA, 1.067 WHIP & 17.4 SO/9. If I'm the Dodgers, that's the guy I want setting up for Jansen, if not, rotating with in the closer's spot. Even though the Mets are heavily rumored to go for Realmuto in FA, I feel that this is a perfect alternative to that by obtaining a young C prospect that's ML ready.
