With Margot being traded for, seems like the Rays are looking for yet another way to go cheaper. This way would mean paying a bit more this year for Davis (who they'd hope to rebuild and flip at deadline) and then be free of the extra year/s of Kiermaiers contract. Meanwhile the Rockies are rid of Davis and get the best defensive CF in baseball to run around that gigantic outfield.
