5Shit! I'd trade all 3 for Stone. Knack is just icing on the cake and I would gladly take him as well.
Galiz and Knack don’t thrill me, although I know Cleveland would get needed C depth in Galiz. Love Stone, but an earlier comment said both were close to ML ready, which is not really true. Knack is struggling in AA, and in 6 starts Stone has dominated in AAA. So maybe Stone is up mid-to late 2023, so partially true! Outman (despite the unfortunate baseball name) is intriguing. I am in the minority, but I could see moving Gonzalez (I had him going to Miami for Luzardo in a previous trade), and putting Outman in right field in a platoon. Outman’s split against RHP in AAA (albeit in the hitter friendly PCL) are fantastic. So Outman gets the majority of ABs. This is the kind of trade I hope Cleveland makes, not just trading Rosario alone, but packaging him with others to get some better talent back. Although I think the Dodgers will call they will likely just want Rosario.
@winnow The last trade you posted with Landon knack included generated this deal. Amed Rosario has a single year left under club control. His abilities (very good abilities) and deficiencies are clear.. The addition of Zach Plesac offers exactly what the Dodgers are in need of.. a stop gap starting pitcher until the return of Walker Buehler and others. Plesac then moves to a tweener role out of the bullpen where he has proven he can be very effective. Brayan Rocchio, aka "the professor" is a coach on the field. He's fast athletic and has a baseball IQ off the charts. He's the heir apparent to Rosario, but, still about a half year away.. The Guardians would need someone who can pair with the remaining starting staff to join the rotation. Gavin Stone is that guy or Landon Knack can become that guy as both of these guys are close to ML-Ready. The rest of the vaunted SP MiLB candidates for the Guardians will continue honing their craft in the minors through majority of the 2023 season. Galiz & Outman are both good prospects, but, too far away from the ML's to know what they are or will become. Thoughts?
I thought Gs would want Barnes but a trade like this suits me as a LAD fan. Lux lacks the arm for SS. Don't know Rocchio but he would provide leverage in any efforts to extend Rosario. Stone is on a hot streak but risks remain with young SPs. I would pass on Plesac and trade the 2 SSs for Galiz and Stone
Oatman isn't far away, he got some MLB bats last season...
