This is a fantastic trade for the Yankees. They lose nobody they need in any way and get one of the best SPs in baseball. Terrible trade for the Brewers. Thorpe and Gomez are just starting their careers and no help any time soon. Milwaukee doesn’t want Pereira. They have more than enough prospect OFs and don’t want another in a trade. Other than Volpe there is just nothing the Brewers would want.
