Brewers aren’t going to trade a TOR SP for a couple of maybes, especially when one is an outfielder and both are injured. Milwaukee would do a heck of a lot better if they trade Woodruff.

  2. J.M. F.

Cleveland is not going to trade two first round picks for a short-term asset. Espino just turned 22 in January and DeLauter is only 21. Cleveland recently had a highly drafted pitcher that had injuries concerns for a couple of years. They stayed patient and are reaping the rewards. That pitcher was Tristan McKenzie. Cleveland is not going to give up on Espino. He just has too much potential.

Neither team is going to do this. There’s no way I’d give Woodruff up for these 2 injured prospects even though they both have incredibly high ceilings. Cleveland isn’t going to sell low on either so it doesn’t work either way. Espino’s value is up in the air and will be for about 6 weeks when it is determined if he needs surgery or not. DeLauter’s injury was there when he was drafted and has carried over. It’s basically a fractured little toe and he’ll be fine when it is healed.
