    So the Red Sox save $3M and hope for a bounceback from Treinen to help their bullpen. A’s get a lefty CF — also makes sense, if they can stomach the salary.

      It’s hard to see the A’s being so interested in Bradley that they’d take on that money.

    Interesting trade idea. Bradley is probably too expensive for Oakland. Getting rid Treinen might appeal to them. Trained was brutal last year.

    Bradley might be too expensive, but so is Treinen. If the A’s hold Treinen and acquire a LHH CF, it’s likely to cost more than Bradley.

        It’s a safe bet they planned on having both a CF and a closer this year.

          I wouldn’t suggest otherwise, but I think the statement sort of minimizes the cost of adding Bradley, which I think the A’s would view as bad money.
