There is no way to add it, but the site values a Comp A pick at roughly 11.3 of surplus value. If you remove Toglia and return him back to the Rockies, I would instead include the 35th overall pick in the draft (a tradeable Comp A pick from Rockies to Mariners). This allows the Rockies to remain competitive by replacing Arenado with a 3B prospect who could win the starting job out of ST and adding two controllable you pitchers to Marquez and Freeland gives them the ability to extend Story and possibly Rodgers. Gonzales being from Colorado makes him an extension candidate for them as well. I would’ve sent Long to the Rockies and had Colorado add $30M instead of $20M over first 6 years to the Cardinals. This allows the Mariners to add three late inning bullpen arms, a catching prospect who is a little closer to the majors than Raleigh, and a starting 2B/SS (Hampton) who can use game changing speed and patience to set the table for their future stars (Kelenic/Rodriguez). The Cardinals get a SP project in Swanson, but the real win is Arenado (he’d waive his option in this trade scenario), and two-years of Gray who might be interested in an extension since he’s from tornado alley and might just be glad to pitch in a more even environment than Coors Field offers pitchers.
