  1. Duval84, do you look at the needs of all of the teams? Let’s see what a little research will tell you.

Braves – Pros – They solve their 3B situation by acquiring a solid player for the next two years.
Pros – They improve their bullpen going from Melancon to Kimbrel. Kimbrel also has 2 more years of control.
Pros – They save 3.5 million dollars.

Cubs – Pros – Acquire Lindor who is a star.
Questions – Who plays 2B, SS, and 3B? Lindor and Baez are good with the glove at SS. Does Bote play 3B? Does Baez or Hoerner have to learn 3B? Too many questions.
Cons – Cubs weaken their bullpen going from 3 years of control on Kimbrel to one year of Melancon who is much worse than Kimbrel.
Cons – The Cubs have salary cap issues and you are asking them in this trade to take on 1.9 million.

  2. Indians – Pros -They would receive a solid lefty starting pitching prospect in Marquez.
Cons – Cleveland has 6 returning starting pitchers in Bieber, Clevinger, Carrasco, Civale, Plesac, and Plutko all who pitched significant innings in 2019 or in the past. Where is their room for Hamels? Is Hamels even healthy yet?
Cons – Where does Riley play and will he ever hit? The Tribe has Jose Ramirez at 3B and has 10 outfielders currently on their 40 man roster. How does Riley fit in?
Cons – Cleveland is asked here to take on a half of million more in salary between Lindor and Hamels for a player that they do not need.

Cons – Who plays short for the Indians. The only answer on their roster is Yu Chang. So you have the Indians going from Lindor to Chang to receive players that they do not need.

I think I know who you root for without looking at your name. No way the Cubs or Indians would do this trade.
