Rangers restock their farm system. Ruiz and White are currently ready to contribute in the big leagues, while Amaya is a year or two away. Stripling has a couple of years until he reaches free agency. If the Rangers wanted, they could certainly spin him off in the future for more prospects.

Dodgers could use a little help with their playoff rotation. May and Gonsolin are rookies. Urias has trouble getting late into games. Acquiring Lynn allows them to use a rotation consisting of Buehler, Kershaw, Lynn, and May in the playoffs, kicking Urias to the pen. Frazier makes for insurance in case Pollock turns back into a pumpkin. He also gives the Dodgers a bump against lefties, where they haven’t been so good this season.
