This was combining a few Brewers/Jays trade ideas.
I like it for both teams. Let me the first to give it up votes.
I too think it’s a nice trade both ways. The Brewers are getting a bigger bat in Gurriel Jr. I believe, in Milwaukee, he could be a 27-30 HRs – 80+ RBI guy. Maya gives them a decent reliever in the pen. Smith isn’t very far away and could man 3B with Urias goes to 2B next year if they don’t p/u Wong’s option. For the Jays, their pen kept them from the playoffs last year. Getting the best closer in baseball for at least 2 years will alleviate that problem. They can afford to lose Gurriel Jr from their offense.
