I like this one. The Indians get a pitcher with upside (albeit one whose stock has fallen a bit) to restart the clock with. It seems inevitable that they’ll move Bauer once their strategy changes to sell mode. Dubon can either shift to 2B to replace Kipnis or possibly replace Lindor when he’s eventually traded, assuming he lives up to his potential. The Indians might ask for one more prospect to even it out, but it’s close. The Brewers get a quality starter who fits their window right now.

    • Burnes value has taken a big hit with his awful year to date. I would think that the Indians would like the main piece in a Bauer trade to be having a little more success to date. I don’t see the Brewers as a good match with the Indians.

This is a funny trade to look back on now. The 2021 NL Cy Young traded for the 2020 NL Cy Young.
