Rays could work wonders with adams given his slider once he gets back next year. Cash represents either Grisham or Merrill. I know this is unrealistic but I played high school baseball with Carson and he should return home.

I don’t watch a lot of Padres games. Has Grisham’s defense been bad this year? According to UZR, he’s been below average for the past 2 years. DRS says he’s below average this year but was fine last year. OAA says he’s been fine in CF the past 2 years. He no longer seems to have a bat, so his defense is really key to his value. Based on what little I know of him, I don’t think the Rays will have any interest in an arb eligible CF with declining bat and fielding skills.

Rays aren’t trading C.Williams for J.Merrill. They like Williams and will just roll with the SS prospect they have.

Grishams been fine defensively and his bat has heated up. This is a very unrealistic trade I just want Carson to come home because I played with him for a while
