    I like this one better. I could see the Cards using Gordon as a speedy bench bat, with Altavilla giving them a promising controllable relief arm

    Yeah this one feels more plausible to me too. The M’s pick up some salary coming back, but it’s still reasonable and they still save enough money to make it worthwhile. Plus they could hope Leone turns good again so they can flip him later.
