I don’t know if the Pirates would do it, but Cleveland wants another C to mix in with Naylor and Lavastida in 23. With all three guys being able to play away from Catcher as well, I feel like they could mix and match all three in normally…

What is your fascination with wanting to trade any good prospect that the Pirates ever have?

What are you talking about? Outside of a Reynolds trade, I really do not recall making really any other Pirates trades in the last year. I also personally wanted Endy in the Lindor trade…

If I am the Buccos I have no interest in this hodgepodge of nothingness being offered by Cleveland.

A .284/.384/.480 at AAA hitter, with a top 100 prospect SP (in some rankings), then a SS who won a minor league gold glove, and another SP… Not exactly as much of a hodgepodge as you think. Via MLB.com, Allen would a top 10 prospect in the Pirates organization, Tena would be in the top 15, with Palacios would be the starting LF and likely your leadoff man in 23… Allen would also be a candidate for your starting rotation in 23. Tena will be at AAA to start 23… Allen is ranked higher than Endy in a fair amount of prospect rankings…

Why would the Pirates ever be interested in trading their best performing hitting prospect in the minors this season in the middle of a rebuild? It makes ZERO sense unless the offer is of substantially greater value than this. Just stupid…

Because it takes a team to win… I am not saying Pittsburgh would move him, but if they did dangle him, he could net multiple players back. This is a guy Cleveland could target as well and with them having one of the best farm systems in all of baseball, they actually could overpay for Endy and still be alright. Allen’s value dropped some because of AAA struggles (he’s only in his second full season of minor league play). He will be a starting pitcher in the majors in 23. Palacios dropped because he doesn’t have a spot available in Cleveland and is riding the bench with the big league club. He would be Pittsburgh’s starting LF at this current moment. Tena is the odd man out in a deep group of SS. On here before the season started those 4 guys was a value of 30 area…

Pirates are NOT going to dangle their best hitting prospect this offseason. Its just not going to happen. But, if they did, they’d never accept this trade. Allen is the only one worth considering. And, yes he’s struggling mightily in AAA where he’s walking far more batters than he did previously. Palacios was never a top prospect and has struggled at the plate in the majors. Not sure why you’d think a guy with an OPS south of .600 is worthy of starting at a corner outfield spot in the majors. Yea, maybe he’d get a start their in Pittsburgh because their other options are currently so terrible. But, he’s not a long term solution for them at either left or right. Tena is a middling middle infield prospect when the Pirates already have plenty of those and he’s not hitting particularly well in AA. And Mace is a middling pitching prospect who isn’t exactly lighting up high A (where he has low K/9 and a high BB/9) and doesn’t even crack MLB Pipeline’s latest top 30 for the Guardians. So, I’m not sure why you’d think one decent and three average to below average prospects would be a fair trade for a guy who will almost definitely crack every top 100 ranking by season’s end. Heck, a deal of just two of Cleveland’s top prospects, i.e. Allen and either Valera or Jones, would look a lot better than this. Though, I’m not sure why Cleveland would ever do that. There is a reason prospect-for-prospect trades are so rare. They just don’t make sense in most situations.

You know that Palacios pretty much is at the bigs because they like his bat, but because there is very few ABs available, he is mostly a pinch hitter right? (Kwan is a gold glove and ROY candidiate in LF) You are judging a guy who has a very good bat, based off of irregular ABs… Also Tena, you are undervaluing…

So from the Pirates standpoint, if they were to trade Endy, who would you want?
