Hey Jmont, let’s make a deal.
Even with Christian Yelich being in the negatives, he is still underated and I would not think to give up freddy Peralta, I just dont know about this trade.
Sorry Ghost, Brewers turn it down. The very last thing they need is more OF prospects. They had 4 high prospects in AAA and the biggest part of this trade is another OF. Rafaela is a good prospect and has played some 3B, but he’s an outfielder. Chacon struggled in rookie ball. Drohan showed some promise in A+ and is a good throw-in. Paulino is another good add-on, but he’s only in A and probably too far away to help. Sale is a ticking time bomb. He’s only pitched 48 innings since 2019. Yelich cancels out Sale’s horrific deal for 3 years, but at least Yelich is average. The added $50M comes at a time when Milwaukee has 18 arby guys due next year and very limited finances. There just isn’t nearly enough to warrent losing Peralta who has a very team friendly contract.
Respect for your knowledge about the Sox farm. I only really know about Frelick because he’s from Boston 😂. But I see your point. The Yelich contract is quite the albatross. Very difficult to work with. Perhaps a deal like this would be 2 years from now with less guaranteed $.
