San Francisco acquires a quarterback!
Interesting idea. Although including Murray’s rights here is noteworthy, the real point of this trade is to clear Samardzija’s salary/negative value. The A’s would be taking on some serious money, which seems unlikely. I think it’s more likely cash would be included from the Giants’ side to make that aspect of it more palatable for the A’s.
