    I don’t like this at all for Miami. If they’re trading Smith, they’ll want at least one blue-chipper back, and Fowler doesn’t fit that mold. I also don’t think there’s a ton of incentive to get rid of Chen – by the time the Marlins are contending, he’ll be long gone anyway – and I’d be shocked to see them include $25 mil in any deal (with the Stanton trade being an obvious exception). I think the A’s would take this in a heartbeat, but the Marlins hang up right away.
