I just can’t see the Indians selling unless they really tank over the next three weeks.

  2. Kipnis is in the last year of his contract so his remaining money is not an issue for the Tribe. In this proposal, you have Cleveland trading their two top relievers and receiving Inciarte and O’Day, neither which are helping Atlanta and would not help Cleveland and a pitching prospect that has not pitched this season. How does this help Cleveland this year as they are in the playoff picture in the AL. This trade would not help Cleveland at all.

Cleveland will be going into rebuild mode soon. They are out of it. Inciarte is the CF that they need for the future on a cost controlled contract. Great relievers are not needed when you are tanking.

      • Cleveland has solid starting pitching returning with two more years of Lindor. They have a solid bullpen and many improving young players including Oscar Mercado, their center fielder. Their time is not over. They are currently in the wild card spot and have cut the Twins lead almost in half. They also have 13 games remaining with the Twins.

The Indians have no need for Inciarte, a worthless reliever, and injured pitcher, and a lower level minor leaguer.
