Bigbat likes it, but I hate it completely… I don’t think Marsh is worth getting especially at that value. He has what 40 games in the bigs where he was above a .700 OPS… He had 150 SOs in 22…

If I could I would, but I only have 1 turkey wish bone and I’m using it on a Bloom replacement

I hope it doesn’t, Marsh is badly overrated…

Yet he’s vastly better than the 4 going to Philly. Maybe you’re just arguing to argue and if that’s the case then at least present some evidence of the BS you’re stating. Cleveland will never win a WS with a slap hitting lineup. The proof is blatant and obvious so get over it.

Look at the stats… Rosario is better than Marsh offensively career wise and Marsh was horrible in LA… so you expect him to be the 40 game person in Philly or the 160 games in LA. I am not spending 30 on someone like Marsh who has been below 85 OPS+ for 163 games…

Jury is still out on Marsh, but the guy Rosario is decidedly not better than is whichever of of the FA shortstops the Phillies end up signing, so there’s no need to make the trade in the first place.

Marsh isn’t good. Phillies have the best catcher in baseball so O’Hoppe was expendable, but Philadelphia will regret that trade. Straw was awful last year, but I still wouldn’t trade him straight up for Marsh. If Straw doesn’t rebound you try someone else or eventually end up with Kwan in center, Valera in left. If you don’t like slap hitters Marsh isn’t the answer. When Cleveland starts spending $ maybe they can afford HRs. They slapped their way to almost reaching the ALCS, and I think you’ll see more of this (trading for those kind of hitters) in the future.

I can see Cleveland trading one of Plesac or Civale, but I don’t see both going. Also, sorry Big Bat, Cleveland’s front office is not trading Straw no matter how much you want to see it.

Yeah well he sucks offensively and I can always hope. At the very least he should be relegated to the 4th OF role and give CF duties to Brennan.
