Yes, the Indians would have to be out of the race at the deadline to do this and I don’t think that will happen. I think they will keep Bauer and trade in the offseason. They only way they might is if they know Kluber or Carrasco or both are back and ready to go. I am also a little concerned that Andujar will end up a DH. The Indians value defense.
Andujar is hurt and out for the year. How does this help the Indians in 2019 continue to contend for the playoffs?
It wouldn’t. If the Indians trade Bauer during the season it’s a white flag for 2019.
I do like Andujar much better than Frazier however. As an Indian fan, I have little interest in Frazier.
