    first trade on here. Messing around with values. I contemplated having the Jays add some salary to potentially sweeten this further. Let me know thoughts.

    I like that you have the Padres offering young pitching. That’s the Jays primary need. Too many trades on here where teams would be offering the Jays a 3B. Umm Vlad Jr? I think it’s a good proposal.

      An even simpler version of this where it’s just Stroman and Giles for Patino and Quantrill seems more likely. But I like it overall.

    Hmm. Interesting, but I’m not sure the Blue Jays are in the right position to move Smith, even if he’s blocked by Vlad. Remove Smith and Naylor and I think you have a really intriguing idea that hinges on the Padres’ perceived timeline of contention.
