Mets: They are very top heavy in the rotation. If they got Burnes, either Verlander or Scherzer would be the #3 start! Imagine that. Steve Cohen would also not hesitate to extend Burnes, giving him the money and security on a winning team that he wants. In terms of what they give up, Baty hurts the most, but Escobar is still on the roster, so they can survive. They also get Abraham Toro in this deal to slot in around the infield. Parada was just drafted, and hit well in his first taste of pro ball, but Alvarez is the catcher of the future obviously, which makes Parada an interesting trade piece to use in order to acquire a star. The Bullpen is irrelevant outside of Edwin Diaz, and it stays they same whether Ottavino is included or not. Peterson might hurt as well, but they can do without him. Tidewell and Atencio are low minors arms.

Brewers: Again, Burnes isn’t happy with them. Parada can be the understudy of William Contreras, he has all the tools to be a good fielder and hitter. Tidewell and Atencio shore up the minor league pitching depth, with Tidewell having higher expectations and ceiling. Peterson takes Burnes spot in the rotation, he is controllable and a solid arm. Ottavino gives the bullpen more stability after Devin Williams. The prize is Baty, who instantly becomes the 3rd baseman of the future and is expected to do big things in his career.

Very interesting trade. The Brewers don’t have any need for Parada and he’s the 2nd biggest part of the trade. They have Quero to be Contreras’ understudy. Mets keep Parada/Atencio and swap in Vientos/Raley. Yes it’s quite an over pay by the Brewers, but to get Baty I think Milwaukee would do it.

yes that work, your idea is more practical even if it is less valuable. Love your ideas by the way
