Disregard the cash. I added it to get the deal to go through and I think it’s pretty fair. I don’t know if Freeman and Rosario should be swapped though. It might makes sense for the Dodgers to take Rosario since he’d only be needed for a year and the Angels might have a longer term need at 2B which would make Freeman more desirable to them.
…and someone please explain to me how Tyler Freeman has more excess value than Will Brennan. Before being called up to Cleveland and hitting 357/400/500/900, Brennan slashed 316/367/471/838 in Columbus. It’s Steven Kwan all over again, but some people are hard to catch up.

You do like Rengifo! Not a criticism. I’m a Madrigal guy myself, who no one else seems to like.
I have a hard time giving up Freeman and Brennan (more so Brennan than Freeman). I am a fan of Outman and really like Quero, but this is a steep price. If Rosario is gone I see Freeman taking over at second (Gimenez to SS). Brennan is insurance in case Straw still can’t hit. So I’m slightly a no.
I do like Rengifo because he is a good fit for Cleveland in different scenarios. The first scenario being Arias winning the SS job outright therefore keeping Gimenez at 2B with Rengifo in the utility role which he is accustomed to. The second is Rengifo winning the 2B job allowing Gimenez to slide over to SS(his original/natural pos) which would allow Arias to remain in the utility role. However it would work out it would boost Cleveland’s offensive punch. Especially against LHP which Rengifo destroyed last season to the tune of 315/339/570/909 with an OPS+ of 151. He’s a switch hitter and either his LH swing needs to catch up or it needs to be scrapped altogether. He’s only 25 so he should continue his upward trending.
I love Will Brennan, but if I can get Outman in this deal I do it. Yes, there is some risk there, but the upside is worth it and he is also trending in the right direction with his K%. That’s his only bugaboo. He hits for average and power, plays great defense in all 3 OF spots, has a big arm and steals a bunch of bases.

Quero is just a good fit for Cleveland.
