I wonder what the values are at the ‘23 deadline without the cash.

Joshua has Woodruff at 38.5 at the ‘23 deadline in his latest article. So I wonder how close Peraza gets.

Brewers refuse this horribly under value deal. Woodruff is a TOR SP and Milwaukee could do a heck of a lot better than just Peraza and a little cash for him if they have to trade him.

This is how I see it. Yankees open the season with Peraza at SS and he plays great, but the Yankees see Volpe as ready and call him up. At the deadline the Yankees are strong contenders and deal Peraza (and maybe a PTBNL or some cash) to the cost conscious Brewers who are once again on the bubble for playoff spot but are also trying to thread the needle between building an contender and contending this year.

Woodruff had the most value this off season so they would have traded them there…
