Grissom can fill 2B or SS for the Angels. Braves get their longtime LF.
I think both have potential to be amazing offensively so this could be a good deal down the road for both teams at positions of need.
I’m a Braves fan and I’m into Jo Adell. This is a cool trade idea.
I’m preferring Grissom for the Braves right now though, so no trade for me. I’m still dreaming on his positional flexibility. I like Adell’s power but he’s not playing a defensive position that I care more about like maybe O’Neil Cruz does and Adell’s not taking a walk as much as I’d to see (Gallo). The Braves still have a contract with Ozuna for 2024 and unless Adell can be better enough than the aggregate of what *should* be Ozuna and a guy like Eli White then it’s a “no”.
If these two dudes, Adell and Grissom, are both looking good in the coming months and there’s a need on both teams, let’s do it. I like them both. I don’t follow West Coast teams as much and not as much AL. Maybe the Angels could use an infielder up the middle.
It’s a good trade idea. I think Adell’s vastly underrated by this site. I can totally see a future in just a couple of months that makes this trade seem like a no-brainer. I’m just not there yet.
