      Can’t see the Reds being interested in this at all. They do not need a SS, as good as Merrill is. They have a log jam, with top prospects, coming up for SS. I think for a trade like this, the Reds would be looking for a corner bat. The value on Strand is much too low too. Don’t see him as a part of any trade anytime soon. I could see Marte being dealt but I think his value is on the low end now and Reds will wait until this improves.
