Like the idea on paper isn’t a bad one, but Cleveland isn’t likely to do this deal specifically…
I’d say it would be more of Tena, Noel, Palacios, plus one or two lotto prospects… Jackson is okay, but Rooker has one had one good month, they aren’t willing to spend 8 BTV on him…
I don’t think Rooker is the best hitter in baseball (203 wRC+) but I also think part of his success is finally getting consistent at bats. He’s always had Power and was willing to work the count; looking at his pitch info he’s managed to cut his O-zone swing by 5% and as long as he can sustain that then he should continue to be a productive DH/COF.
As for what the A’s would want in return?
Pitching. Pitching. SS. Pitching. 3B.
I think those are the priority areas. Ruiz and Bleday are going to continue and get at bats in the OF, as are Laureano and Brown (when he returns) in order to showcase them for later. Noda is doing well at 1B. Jordan Diaz gets a year to prove himself at 2B before Gelof/Hernaiz push for the job.

Down vote for Oakland.
Tena, Nikhazy and Noel are playing poorly thus far and I’ve never been that enamored with their upside.
What are you thinking of Rooker? I feel like he’s either figured out something or a big fluke…
If Rooker isn’t a fluke, I don’t doubt Cleveland would offer for him. Who would Oakland want you think?
