The Rays need bullpen pitching. This would be a trade deadline trade scenario. Basabe is a likely candidate for the Rays to trade away. The Reds also need better outfielders, so Jose Siri could help address that problem. Montgomery is a left handed pitcher. He could become a starting pitcher for Cincinnati. This would be a good deal for the Reds because they would get three players for a pitcher that normally pitches for one inning a game.
