Brewers say no thanks. The pitching returning isn’t close to good enough for Milwaukee to make the deal. Crawford was horrendous last year, better this year. He is a BOR type starter. Nothing close to what the Brewers would look for as the major player in a trade for Burnes. Drohan has been awful in AAA and Milwaukee wouldn’t be interested. Romero is a lottery ticket and also of little interest for the Brewers. Milwaukee could do much, much better waiting until the deadline next year and trading Burnes then.
I think by the deadline next year Crawford will be worth more then Burnes, Drohan will be worth just as much as Burnes and Romero will have proven himself to be worth much, much more then a lottery ticket as he enters the top 100 MLB Prospects Lists.
Yeah by next years Deadline Crawford will 100% have more value than Burnes and i think Romero will be close to if not 100 prospect as this year he just struggled with injuries he played 34 games this whole szn
Red Sox just laugh and hang up when the Brewers call with this offer.
