Why would Cleveland do this? They won 93 games last year despite many injuries and plan to contend in 2020. Ramirez is not going anywhere but to 3B for the Indians. He is controlled for 4 years on a team friendly deal. Clevinger is also controlled for three years and very affordable for 2020.

I understand that Atlanta fans want an experienced 3B as they are a contender, but all these proposals for players like Jose Ramirez and Matt Chapman are just unrealistic dreams as both the A’s and Indians are contenders as well. They are dreams that will not happen. They need to just give Riley the chance and provide him the support needed to reach his potential.
