Now I know some of you may have heard about the incident with Reese McGuire that took place early this week, and I have heard of speculation that the Jays may have to cut ties with him. If that’s the case, I do have a trade proposal that could possibly fix this predicament. Ken Giles has been a top trade target for all of the offseason, and the Phillies have been rumored to be a possible landing spot for him. Along with the Jays need of aid in the outfield (yes, I’m looking at you center field), I’ve suggested that Mickey Moniak could be a possible trade target from them, and besides, with the Jays young crop of players, he would easily fit right in. As for Deivy Grullon, he is coming off a fantastic season in the AAA, coming in with 24 doubles, 21 home runs, and a batting average of .283 from last season, he could prove to be a powerful hitter for the Blue Jays, and much like Moniak, he could also fit right in with the team given his age. I’m not sure if this trade would become a reality, but it could be a possible scenario with the current situation going on with McGuire right now.
For your consideration, yours truly – Drew2000
