    A’s would actively make themselves weaker while holding the #1 record/seed in the AL in order to do what, exactly?

    Frazier is un-needed as the A’s have a good group of outfielders, Voit is not better than Olson, German isn’t available until the 4th game of 2021, and there’s no way in hell the A’s trade Chapman before reaching arb without a TRULY MASSIVE overpay (before someone tries “but Josh Donaldson”, the situation was completely different after the 2014 season with a contention window slamming shut and a weak farm system).

    People have got to stop putting trades out that technically add up numbers-wise, but make zero sense for one of the teams involved.
