Indians may not want to part with Bradley, but it may be the only way to break from Gallo. Gallo and Clevinger have the same amount of team control remaining, and the Rangers will be able to replace at least one pitcher going out the door by grabbing Clevinger. Gallo is the piece the Indians need to get some power in that outfield. Even though Bradley might be tough to part with, the Rangers have a big need at first base in the long term and will likely shoot for both of them. This trade seems like a win for both sides.

Just curious why you think the Indians wouldn’t want to part with Bradley? He’s not a highly rated prospect.

He’s considered one of the top first basemen as far as prospects go, and he’s 12th in the Indians top 30 prospects according to mlb. This of course gives me an impression that they might at least a little hesitant, but getting Gallo in return for the two should make the deal worth it.
