Brewers upgrade their 3B void and avoid arbitration with Arcia (estimated $3.8mill per MLBTR). Sox get a SP and another 2B candidate, albeit one who struggles offensively.
This one is…interesting. Did Dalbec play almost exclusively at 1B last year because of Devers, or can he not play 3B? If he was left-handed I would probably make this deal despite his ridiculous strikeout totals. As it is, I’d be 50/50.
Dalbec can play 3B, but after dealing Moreland, the only 1B on the Sox roster was Michael Chavis, whose only real skill is hitting LHP. While Dalbec does have the height (6’4″) that comes in handy at 1B, he is a maybe an average/slightly above defensive 3B with an absolute cannon for an arm.
