Dodgers get lindor. Nothing more to be said.

Indians get long term replacement for lindor (amaya) a badly needed outfielder who can hit, and a replacement for carlos santana.

Blue Jays get David price for only 22 million for 2 years. They also get tony gonsolin who can be a big help to their rotation now and in the future.

This would work for all three teams.

As presented.. the Indians would decline.. Paying $ 10 MM for Price to pitch elsewhere is a deal stopper

My mistake.. 36.2 + 10 = 46.2 was where I got it.. That changes the dislike to a like..

It would change it to a massive like if Amaya is excluded and McKinstry and Pages were added, then..

    Thoughts?

    • Josh Lew

McKinstry and Pages are both Major League ready players so they would be great if the Indians wanted to contend now, but it looks like they are heading for a rebuild, given that they are shopping lindor and jose ramirez. In the future Amaya could be more helpful as part of the rebuild and ss of the future.

      • Why do fans of other teams think that a smart, well operated franchise like the Indians hasn’t planned for the time when Lindor would be leaving? As G-son commented, the Indians are loaded with middle infield prospects. Also, the Indians are not planning to rebuild. With their controllable starting pitching and strong farm system, their is not a need to blow it up.

No.. Amaya wouldn’t.. he’d be the fourth SS prospect to be considered for the future.. The Indians DON’T NEED AMAYA at all.. Arias is better.. Gabby-Rod is better.. Fermin is better.. Bracho is better.. Freeman is better.. etc etc.. These are just the one that are in the USA.. there are two more in the DSL..
