Absolute horrendous trade for the Brewers. The Brewers are looking for offensive (especially corner inf.) help in any Hader trade. Two iffy prospects are of zero interest in their current situation. Morejon has been terrible in his limited time in the big leagues and needs to go back down to see if he is capable. Weathers has barely made A ball. Neither of them is any immediate help.

You have a point, I mostly went with the idea, that the Padres will want stars, Hader is still cheap, so who can they give away to get him. 15mln didn’t seem much for me, so I overpayed. Morejon is still 21 and if the Brewers see ace potential in him, they might still go with pitching, there is always a need for it as they say. But if Milwaukee really want a corner infielder with upside, a 3rd team will be needed to complete such a potential trade.

You need to chill on these takes who the hell do you actually think the Brewers are going to get for Hader? No team is sending an MLB ready rookie bat and the Brewers can’t take on a short term hitter who is likely on an expensive contract. This would be a fantastic package for the Brewers and they can look to address the corners via FA or another trade. If a prospect is lights out in his first taste of the majors he isn’t getting traded both Weathers and Morejon are very exciting arms that will be able to help in 2021 which keeps the Brewers pitching staff strong while extending the window.
