I think this a good trade for the Yankees and the Brewers but I can’t see Cleveland making this trade. I think Cleveland could do a lot better in a Lindor and/or Carrasco trade.

The Indians would basically be admitting to tanking f they did this, and I do not see how any of the outfielders they acquire are better than the ones they are desperate to upgrade over. Especially the massively overrated Tauchman, who, judging by the number of inclusions in Yankee trades, is not exactly wanted by Yankee fans, either

I don’t think it is a very good deal for the Brewers. But if the Indians and Brewers ever got together to see how they could help the Yankees, this deal or one similar might enter the discussion…

I think Milwaukee will wait to trade Hader until the trade deadline. There are too many good relievers available on the free agent market right now, so Hader’s value isn’t as good as it will be mid season. Teams are always looking for bullpen help at the deadline and he would be a huge difference maker to a contending team.

  3. Three more 4th outfielders and another DH which is not needed is not quite what the Indians need in any Lindor trade let alone adding Carrasco.

My initial feeling on the trade was: Yankees – Yes , Brewers – Maybe and Indians – No. But getting Voit into a lineup that needs a hitter like that swayed me to calling it good for the Brewers. And, I think Schmidt is a good bet to be a valuable pitcher. I also am not high on Urias
Ray or McKinney but I could be wrong about them. But it’s all a moot point because Cleveland wouldn’t even consider this trade.
