The Astros need to revamp their farm system and still remain contenders. This trade allows them to do that. They give up Correa, a guy they probably won’t bring back next year, and they get a starting shortstop for the next 2 seasons, a top 200 prospect, and another minor leaguer. Braves want to keep up with the Mets, Dodgers, and Padres, so they get Correa as a bounce-back move in retaliation for the Bauer signing. This also makes Abraham Toro, Jeremy Pena, and Freudis Nova all have clearer paths to the big leagues for this season. Toro probably will make the club out of camp, but Pena and Nova are longshots, but shedding Correa would allow them to get up sooner. Thoughts?
