Down vote.
I think Canha makes sense as an almost luxury add for the Cardinals, especially at this price. But this is a complete No Go for Oakland because of their 40 man roster situation. They’re sitting at 40 and trying to make room for 2 new adds; this proposal would force the A’s to make yet another 40 man cut.
I think any deal for Canha has to be a 1-for-1 swap off the 40 man rosters plus prospects.
