    Down Vote.

Chavis might need a change of scenery to blossom but Oakland isn’t the place for that to happen.

Bazardo and Rosario are on the 40 man roster and Oakland already needs to make room for Montas when he returns from COVID.

Deichmann is what the Red Sox really need a left-handed 1b/OF. The Red Sox have little cap space at this moment. They would be willing to overpay for this need. Chavis would become expendable. Name a reasonable price for Deichmann? Range 5 -7 points. Deichmann would be a stop gap for this year. They have some decent prospects, but they time at the AAA level. The Red Sox have limited depth at positional players. A few injuries would expose this weakness.

Seth Brown is the guy to look at.

I think Oakland wants to see what a fully healthy Deichmann can do, especially since they’d like to move on from Piscotty (if he can’t bounce back) and Canha probably leaves as a Free Agent after the 2021 season.

So… Seth Brown for Nick Sogard. The A’s like bloodlines and they liked Eric when he played for them. They’ll need to move someone off the 40 Man when Montas gets off the COVID list and I think with Moreland above and Deichmann below, Brown will be the one to go.
