Braves: I just don’t think the Braves are going to trust Alex Jackson, they would rather have Barnes. McKinstry is a good utility guy that can play SS well. Price’s contract might be the difference maker in this deal but he would benefit the Braves in veteran leadership and Postseason play.

Dodgers: Inciarte’s contract would be flipped in another trade or he would be released. Jackson would benefit with the catching coaching staff in LA. Jenista is a AAA OF and does not require a 40-man spot. He also would benefit with a change of scenery. Weigel is a good bullpen or spot starter who still has minor league option.. This also puts the Dodgers draft better.

    LAD would rather Barnes, too.
McKinstry is a good UF for LAD, too

Why flip / release Inciarte? — just do not trade for him.

    This trade is not $ dump for LAD. – 2m (Barnes) + 9m (Inciarte) + 5m cash = $12m -$16 Price’s AAV.
    LAD only saves $4m

Dodgers lose $16M (Price) and $2M (Barnes) =$18M – $8.7M (Inciarte) and $5M (cash to be spit in 2 years of payment)
It could be about $8M that the Dodgers save
