  1. Big Bat

This would be done with the idea that Riley moves to 1B for Cleveland.

How many pitchers can the Indians move and still retain that strength in a season after covid limitations? I don’t see the Indians moving another pitcher.

    • Big Bat

They’d be getting one that’s pretty much ready back and Quantrill could take McKenzie’s spot. He’s looked better so far anyway.

  3. John Furlong

Quantrill did not look good in spring training. Many of Atlanta’s pitching prospects have bombed. I am also not a fan of Riley who has underperformed his prospect hype. Those are some of my concerns with this proposal.

    • Big Bat

McKenzie didn’t look good in ST either, which means very little. How did Quantrill look when he pitched the other day? He’s fine and he’s going to be a good one. Many of Atlanta’s pitching prospects have succeeded as well.

Riley is 23 yrs old and was one of the best prospects in baseball. He only needs to slightly migrate towards his minor league numbers to be a very productive hitter as a major leaguer. I think that he will do that and when he does his value will explode.

Key word in your description of Riley is was. That is why Atlanta is concerned and might replace him.
