    If this were really offered, the Rangers would quickly say YES, hang-up and call the league to get the trade call done.

    Don’t think the Rockies would do it.

      Gotta disagree. The Rangers have no need for Story and Gray. They’re pure rentals who belong on contending teams, not on rebuilding teams. Trading Gallo and Gibson for two guys with even less control makes little sense for them.

        You may be right, but the thought was the Rangers will pursue Story in the offseason with a massive offer (he’s from DFW), this would give them a head start, especially if they feel good about their chances. It gives the Rockies a chance to ether extend or flip Gallo. Rangers are building for the future, they would get 4 yrs of Gomber and an opportunity to see Gray before free agency
