    I think the Rays main objective this offseason would be to clear the way for some of their top prospects in AAA, and thus be looking for younger prospects that won’t need rule 5 protection for some time. Based on all of that, Wendle would be a prime candidate to go, but other guys could definitely move.

    I think the Tigers might make sense to match with them, especially if they go out and make a big FA signing this offseason like some expect (namely, one of the big shortstops available). Wendle could play anywhere across the infield and move as needed when prospect callups happen. Between all of these options, Detroit has a good opportunity to build a strong offensive team.

      Wendle’s age and babip make me uneasy. This would be a tough one. DET certainly needs a SS
