Phillies are looking for corner OF help. Meadows offers a lot of power from the left side. Phillies could offer a high upside OF in Rojas and a lefty arm in Miller. Throw in a raw catching prospect the Rays get 3 prospects who aren’t on the 40-man. Meadows while a valuable piece of the lineup for the Rays is limited and they could potentially shuffle him out if the right value comes back.

I’d pass on this trade if I were the Rays. At first blush, Rohas appears to be nothing more than a no-bat defense first 4th outfielder and Miller has only pitched 48 innings since he was drafted in 2019. I don’t see any specific injury news limiting Miller to such a ridiculously small number of innings (in 2021 he pitched only 12 innings), so I have to wonder what could possibly keep a college drafted pitcher from throwing in the minors. Any idea? He’s been injured, but I don’t see anything serious. He just can’t stay on the field. Hell, it appears he was assigned to the Arizona Fall League and hasn’t been able to pitch there either.
