IMO the Brewers say a big no thanks. There is nobody here that would make even the slightest difference for the Brewers. This trade would actually hurt the Brewers in 2022. The Braves thought so little of Contreras that they signed the Brewers backup catcher to a two year contract rather than have him as their backup. Why would the Brewers want him? Rodriguez wasn’t even good enough to be put on the Braves’ NLCS roster. Since the ban on foreign substances, Rodriguez has been less than mediocre. Why would the Brewers want him? Davidson isn’t worth losing Ashby and Turang. Cain’s contract is up after this year and he is the Brewers’ CF.
