I’m not sold on Pache but if Oakland is basically getting him for free… OK.
Up vote for Oakland.
Most trades on this site are fairly balanced in “Total Value” but this one has 121% more going to the A’s.and I’m not so sure that sort of differential has historically been proven out to be realistic. I believe that’s what grover was alluding to in writing that Pache was basically free to Oakland.
I think if Freeman walks away to a rival, some trade as lopsided as this could happen. Emotions will be high, I also figure if the A’s get value about 5-15 points higher than Olsons trade value than the A’s will make a trade happen.
